More Research Findings On The Health Benefits Of Aloe Vera

There is no question today regarding the many health benefits of Aloe Vera and its various products.

Provided they are of the highest quality, Aloe Vera products can be found today to be playing a significant and highly beneficial role in the development and maintenance of improved health and general well-being for millions of people worldwide.

It is also worth stressing that the tremendous benefits of drinking Aloe Vera gel and using other Aloe Vera products apply not just to the unwell or sick alone.

Note: To be sure of its quality when choosing any Aloe Vera product, check to make sure it is a product high in Aloe Vera content, with Aloe Vera appearing as the first item listed on the ingredients panel. In addition it should have the IASC seal of approval on it.

Even though my husband and I consider ourselves to be quite a ‘fit and healthy’ couple, we drink the Aloe Vera gel daily, first of all for the tremendous and totally ‘natural’ energy boost it gives us and also for the powerful support it gives our immune system making us so much less vulnerable to commonly occuring bugs like cold, flu etc.

Having suffered from bleeding gums after brushing my teeth from as far back as my childhood, one of the greatest benefits of drinking Aloe Vera for me has been a total elimination of this condition.

This no doubt was also aided by us switching to an Aloe Vera based Fluoride-free toothpaste, a topic which I shall be dealing with in detail very soon on this site.

In general, one of the biggest benefits of Aloe Vera is its versatility. It can be used in so many products meaning that the health benefits of Aloe Vera are accessible through drinks, skincare products, personal care products and even cosmetics.

It is wonderful to know that you can actually use cosmetic products that make you look good while nourishing and imparting the health benefits of Aloe Vera to your face and skin!

Thomas Edison (1847-1931) once said…

‘The doctor of the future will give no medicine
but will interest his patients in
the care of the human frame, in diet
and in the cause and
prevention of disease.’

I believe that Aloe Vera has begun and will continue to play an increasingly prominent role in the “future” world that the great inventor “saw” and spoke of.

Research has shown that the health benefits of Aloe Vera apply in the treatment of a wide variety of conditions some of which include:

  • Abrasions
  • Acne
  • Boils
  • Burns
  • Bursitis
  • Carbuncles
  • Chafed and cracked skin
  • Chafed nipples from breastfeeding
  • Contusions
  • Cuts and scratches
  • Dandruff
  • Denture (gum) sores
  • Dermatitis
  • Edema (swelling)
  • Hemorrhoids
  • Inflamed eyes
  • Insect bites
  • Post-treatment dental discomfort and pain
  • Radiation burns
  • Rashes
  • Psoriasis Lesions
  • Skin irritation
  • Skin rashes
  • Sprains
  • Stings
  • Sunburn
  • Tendonitis
  • Ulcers
  • Varicose veins
  • Warts
  • Wounds
  • Wrinkles
  • X-ray burns

Another key to the many health benefits of Aloe Vera is the fact that it is an adaptogen par excellence.

The adaptogenic properties of Aloe Vera mean that different individuals take what they need from it, therefore the benefits of Aloe Vera will vary from person to person. Meaning for example that it will correct imbalances in the human system that range from constipation to diarhoea.

Note: An adaptogen is any of various natural substances that work through the adrenal glands to produce adjustments in the body to combat stress and increase resistance to stress, and which usually produce no side effects.

Because we knowingly and unknowingly consume, thousands of anti-adaptogens, such as fertilisers, pesticides, herbicides, food additives, oxidants, drugs and the like, the benefits of drinking Aloe Vera gel preferably on a daily basis are obvious.

Another of the benefits of Aloe Vera is the fact that it is hypoallergenic, meaning that it does not have any known allergic reactions or side effects.

There is just so much good to be said about Aloe Vera. In my humble opinion the numerous health benefits of Aloe Vera confirm the Aloe Vera gel as Nature’s most perfect vegetable juice!

The benefits of drinking Aloe Vera gel extend to students as well. Research has shown that immune systems are put under extra pressure during exam time explaining why incidents of sickness usually increase among students at this time.

The legendary power of Aloe Vera can change your life from the inside out, working as it does with – “the inner doctor” – our immune system to replenish the nutrients we need as and when required.

It is no less impressive to see the incredible range of disorders affecting animals which Aloe Vera can help with, from the smallest domestic pets to the largest commercial animals.

The health benefits of Aloe Vera – its anti-viral, bacteriacidal, fungicidal, anti-inflammatory and wound-healing properties – are exactly the same for animals as they are for humans.

For instance, Aloe Vera has increasingly been found to have the same sort of calming effect on nervous horses and hyperactive dogs as has been widely reported with humans! Major and rapid improvements when treating Arthritis in dogs with Aloe Vera have been reported by vets from all over the world.
